Lokesh is expected to meet Union Railway, IT and Electronics Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw
Andhra Pradesh IT and Human Resource Development Minister Nara Lokesh will leave for New Delhi on Sunday night to pursue the state’s pending projects with the Central Government. On Monday, Lokesh is scheduled to meet a series of Union Ministers to seek faster clearances for projects awaiting approval and to pitch fresh initiatives aimed at strengthening Andhra Pradesh’s growth trajectory.
Since the formation of the coalition government in Andhra Pradesh, Lokesh has been actively engaging with the Centre, pressing for the state’s priorities and securing new investments. His frequent interactions with Union Ministers have reportedly facilitated quicker approvals and new projects for the state.
During this visit, Lokesh is expected to meet Union Railway, IT and Electronics Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to express gratitude for sanctioning a Semiconductor Manufacturing Unit to Andhra Pradesh. He will also hold discussions with Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, Ports, Shipping and Waterways Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar.
According to sources, the state government has prepared a set of proposals tailored to each ministry, covering areas such as infrastructure, industrial growth, and international collaborations. Lokesh, who has been positioning Andhra Pradesh as a competitive destination for investment and innovation, is expected to press for stronger support from the Centre to place the state on par with India’s most developed regions.
