Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy made a strong appeal to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, urging him not to obstruct the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Project and to act responsibly by withdrawing the Rayalaseema Lift Irrigation Project. Addressing a massive gathering during the “Praja Paalana – Pragathi Baata” meeting in Jataprolu of Kollapur constituency on Friday, Revanth warned, “If you don’t let us live, we know how to fight. We’ll start with requests, but Palamuru knows how to resist when cornered.”

Revanth Reddy laid the foundation stone for the Young India Integrated Residential School at Jataprolu, being built on 25 acres to provide quality education for children from weaker sections. He began his day with prayers at the historic Madana Gopala Swamy temple.

In his address, CM Revanth launched a scathing attack on former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, accusing him of systematically neglecting the Palamuru region. He questioned KCR’s failure to complete major irrigation projects such as Palamuru-Rangareddy, Kalwakurthy, Nettempadu, and Bheema, despite enjoying ten years in power. “This land gave him power even without a local MLA or MP from here,” he said. “What did he give back?”

Revanth reminded the crowd how the region’s loyalty had gone unrewarded. He raised the issue of the Valmiki community and alleged KCR’s betrayal of his promise to recognize them as STs. He also questioned why displaced people were ignored under GO 98 during KCR’s tenure. “If he had resolved these issues in ten years, would Palamuru still be struggling today?” Revanth asked.

He ridiculed KCR’s recent comments expressing ‘sadness’ over Telangana’s governance, questioning whether the sorrow was because “a child from Palamuru became Chief Minister” or “because we’re building residential schools for poor children.” The CM announced that his government is committed to completing all stalled irrigation projects in the next two years. “The Rs 1 lakh crore Kaleshwaram project collapsed in just three years. In contrast, we are carefully planning and executing development,” he said.

Revanth pledged to return to Jataprolu within 18 months to inaugurate the Young India Integrated Residential School, which he had earlier laid the foundation for. He reaffirmed his deep emotional connection to the Palamuru region and declared that Telangana will continue to be governed from its soil.

CM also outlined a series of initiatives aimed at uplifting underprivileged communities and empowering women across Telangana. A key highlight of his address was the large-scale financial support extended to Self-Help Groups (SHGs). The Chief Minister announced that Rs. 344 crore in interest-free loans had been distributed to 3.52 lakh SHGs across the state.

Specifically, in the Kollapur constituency, Rs. 6.33 crore was disbursed as interest-free loans to 2,671 SHGs, while Rs. 41.61 crore in bank-linked loans was extended to 570 SHGs. Additionally, he personally handed over a Rs. 20 lakh accident insurance cheque to a woman SHG member and facilitated a Rs. 9.35 lakh loan insurance claim settlement for another member.

The event saw the presence of ministers Jupally Krishna Rao, Damodar Rajanarasimha, MP Mallu Ravi, along with local MLAs, MLCs, Corporation Chairpersons, senior officials, and Congress leaders.
