Undeterred by heavy rainfall, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan embarked on a tour of tribal villages in the Manyam Parvathipuram district on Friday. He laid the foundation stone for a new road project in Bagujola, a remote tribal village in Makkavu Mandal.

The proposed 9-kilometer tar road, connecting Bagujola to Sirivara, will be built at a cost of Rs.9.50 crore. Pawan Kalyan remarked, “No one ever thought of coming here or building roads until now.” Reflecting on his earlier visits to tribal areas such as Paderu and Araku during his Porata Yatra, the Deputy Chief Minister emphasized the recurring challenges faced by tribal communities: poor roads, lack of drinking water, and unemployment among the youth.

Pawan Kalyan also criticized the absence of essential infrastructure, recounting how villagers are still forced to carry pregnant women in makeshift stretchers due to the lack of proper roads.

He pointed out that between 2020 and 2022, the central government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi sanctioned Rs.670 crore for the development of backward districts, but these funds were allegedly misused.

During his tour, Pawan Kalyan explored tribal villages on foot, inspecting internal roads and issuing directives to officials on the spot. At Vengalarayasagar viewpoint near Cheepurupalli, he paused to admire the scenic beauty of waterfalls and hills, capturing the landscapes on his mobile phone.

At Shambara village, he reviewed a newly constructed cement road funded under the food-for-work scheme. Pawan Kalyan assessed the road’s quality, construction costs, and overall feasibility. “Every step we take must ensure transparency and efficiency,” he stated.

Pawan Kalyan concluded his visit with an impassioned promise to the tribal communities: “We are ready to work tirelessly for your welfare, regardless of sun or rain.” He assured the residents that the ruling coalition is determined to address their challenges and provide them with better living conditions.
