The Andhra Pradesh High Court provided interim relief to YSR Congress Party leader Sajjala Bhargava Reddy in a case concerning alleged objectionable social media posts targeting political figures, including Chandrababu Naidu, Pawan Kalyan, and Nara Lokesh. Bhargava Reddy had submitted a petition seeking the dismissal of the charges brought against him.

Representing Bhargava Reddy, senior advocate and YSRCP leader Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy contended that the case lacked substantial legal grounds. He pointed out that none of the individuals mentioned in the controversial posts had personally lodged complaints. Instead, the complaints were reportedly filed by unrelated third parties. Additionally, he argued that the police had applied non-bailable sections rather than relevant provisions under the Information Technology Act.

After hearing the arguments, the High Court instructed the police to serve notices in accordance with Section 35(3) of the BNS Act.
