Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has said industrial growth must benefit the poor and middle class, calling for an economic ecosystem in which ordinary citizens, workers and entrepreneurs prosper alongside large industries.
Chairing the 18th State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) meeting, he approved investment proposals worth ₹30,515 crore from 50 companies, expected to create 29,677 jobs across the state.
Naidu said Andhra Pradesh is witnessing rapid industrial expansion and stressed that development should translate into employment, entrepreneurship and economic opportunities for all sections. He directed officials to strengthen the startup ecosystem through the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub and facilitate venture-capital support for emerging entrepreneurs.
He also asked the Education Department to align curricula with future industry needs such as robotics, advanced manufacturing and emerging technologies, while ensuring that only serious investors receive approvals and that projects are monitored for timely execution.
Identifying ethanol, semiconductors, artificial intelligence, quantum computing and green energy as strategic sectors, the Chief Minister said Andhra Pradesh should become a leader in ethanol production, benefiting farmers and reducing dependence on imported fuels.
Naidu directed officials to accelerate renewable-energy projects, battery-storage systems and lithium-ion battery manufacturing to support the state’s 160-GW green-energy vision. He also pushed for a strong semiconductor ecosystem, data centres and the proposed Amaravati Quantum Valley.
