Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath (Chinni) emphasized the importance of skilled workers in the construction sector during his visit to the National Academy of Construction (NAC) in Madhapur, Hyderabad on Thursday. Accompanied by AP Building and Other Construction Workers Advisory Committee (ABACWAC) Chairman Gottumukkala Raghurama Raju and other officials, MP Chinni observed the training activities at NAC.

Telangana NAC Training Director Shanti Sree welcomed the delegation and briefed them on various skill development programs offered to engineering students, unemployed youth, and construction workers.

Speaking at the event, MP Chinni highlighted Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s vision to establish a National Academy of Construction in Amaravati. He stated that the capital development project, which is estimated at Rs 60,000 crore, requires a significant number of skilled professionals such as civil engineers, electricians, and plumbers.

He stressed that training centers like NAC play a crucial role in preparing a competent workforce and noted that such institutions would particularly benefit youth with 10th-grade, intermediate, or lower educational qualifications by enhancing their employability. MP Chinni urged NAC officials to extend support to Andhra Pradesh until the Amaravati center becomes operational. He also praised NAC’s growing stature as a premier training institution in the country, calling it a matter of pride for both Telugu states.
