Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka said the state government will be holding the 2047 Telangana Rising celebrations on a grand scale on December 8 and 9, 2025. He requested bankers to participate in large numbers and become partners in this major event, where several new policies will be announced. Bhatti Vikramarka addressed the gathering as the chief guest at the 47th Quarterly Bankers Meeting held at a private hotel in Begumpet on Tuesday.

He said that the government is preparing to release the 2047 Roadmap, targeting a 13% GDP growth to build a three-trillion-dollar economy. The Deputy Chief Minister added that the government will ensure quality power supply, keeping in view the 10% annual increase in electricity demand.

He explained that in the first year, the government showcased completed programmes, and in the second year it is highlighting continuing initiatives. Bhatti Vikramarka said that the Telangana Rising celebrations will present the government’s long-term vision for Telangana and the plans to achieve it. He highlighted major projects such as the Regional Ring Road, connecting industrial corridors, and the Musi River rejuvenation, which together will help attract global investments.

He said that not only Hyderabad but the entire State has the potential to attract global investors due to its strategic location, favourable climate, language advantages, land availability, skilled human resources at lower costs, and strong power supply. The Deputy Chief Minister urged bankers to extend greater support not only to corporate companies but also to Self-Help Groups and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

Promoting these two sectors will create large-scale employment and generate wealth in the State, which in turn will boost the GDP, he said. The Deputy Chief Minister stated that the government has given top priority to education and health, and suggested that bankers utilise their CSR funds in these fields in consultation with the Chief Secretary, District Collectors, and the Principal Secretary (Finance). He added that the government is working to strengthen educational infrastructure and expand digital education.

Bhatti Vikramarka said Telangana is entering a decisive phase of development, and the banking sector must stand in the forefront of this transformation. He noted that banks achieved 49.45% Priority Sector Lending and a Credit–Deposit Ratio of 130.18% in the first half of the year — clear indicators of the confidence in Telangana’s economic trajectory.
