The investigation into the sensational Vijayawada terror links case has reached a critical stage, with police intensifying their probe to uncover the broader network behind the alleged activities. In a significant development, six more accused persons arrested in connection with the case will be taken into police custody for five days starting today.

The accused, currently lodged in Rajahmundry Central Jail, are being shifted to Vijayawada for detailed interrogation. The Vijayawada Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Court has granted permission to the police to question them in custody until April 13.

The latest phase of the investigation comes after crucial leads emerged from the earlier custodial interrogation of five other accused. Based on their statements, police believe that the six individuals now in custody may possess vital information that could help unravel the larger conspiracy, including possible inter-state links and operational details.

The six accused include Shadman Dilkash (A4) from Bihar, Lucky Ahmed (A7) from Delhi, Zishan (A9) from Rajasthan, Mir Asif Ali (A10) from West Bengal, Shahrukh Khan (A12) from Pune, and Sheikh Fayaz Rehman (A13) from Maharashtra. Their diverse geographical backgrounds have already raised suspicions of a wider network operating across multiple states.

So far, a total of 13 individuals have been named in the case, out of which 12 have been arrested. One of the accused is a minor and has been sent to a juvenile home, while the remaining accused are being held in judicial custody at Rajahmundry Central Jail.
