Tolichowki PS on Wednesday detected an automobile theft case and apprehended two offenders with supernumerary recovery. On Monday they received a complaint from Meer Mairaj Hussain, a resident of Tolichowki in which he stated that the Yamaha bike he parked in front of his house went missing. While the efforts were in progress to trace out the vehicle, SI G. Raghavendra while checking vehicles at Tolichowki X Roads noticed two persons with a Yamaha R15 bike.
He immediately apprehended the accused persons and on enquiry they confessed that they were proceeding to dispose the vehicle after committing the theft of the vehicle. On their additional confession, police recovered 4 additional two-wheeler vehicles which were stolen by them and kept for later disposal at MG Nagar, Shaikpet.
The offence is said to be committed by the accused persons by breaking the handle locks of the parked vehicles.The accused are Sankuru Vijaybhaskar Reddy and Sunkari Praveen Kumar who hail from Rampachodavaram of Andhra Pradesh and are presently residing in a rented premises of ToliChowk. The recovered property included four two wheelers-a Yamaha, and four Activas.
Apart from the above mentioned case, the crime team has also recovered 10 mobile phones by keeping the mobile devices under tracking in CEIR Portal (Central Equipment Identity Register) and handed it to the concerned persons.This case was detected by the efforts of L. Ramesh Naik (SHO), G. Balraj Addl Inspector and G. Raghavendra (SIP), along with the Crime Team of Tolichowki Police Station, under the guidance of Syed Fiaz, ACP, Tolichowki Division G. Chandra Mohan, DCP, South West Zone.
