‘Bhu Bharati to solve decades-old land disputes’

The Telangana government is committed to finding a permanent solution to long-standing land disputes across the state through the Bhu Bharati initiative, Ministers Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said.

Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, along with Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, participated in the distribution of Pattadar Passbooks to beneficiaries from Nuthankal and Maddirala mandals at Nuthankal in Suryapet district on Saturday. Speaking on the occasion, he termed the resolution of decades-old land issues in nine local villages a historic milestone.

"A land title confers full legal rights on a farmer, just as an Indiramma house restores dignity and self-respect to a poor family," the Minister remarked. Under the Indiramma Housing Scheme, the State government is extending financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh per eligible family for house construction—an unprecedented welfare move in the country, he said.

Reaffirming the administration's resolve, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy stated that the scheme would continue seamlessly regardless of Central fund allocations, reiterating the government's core vision to build a "hut-free Telangana." Highlighting broader administrative accomplishments despite inherited debt burdens, the Minister emphasised key welfare initiatives, including the Rs 20,000 crore farm loan waiver, ongoing Rythu Bharosa deposits, free bus transport for women, and subsidised fine rice distribution.

On the infrastructure front, he highlighted that road development projects worth Rs 36,000 crore are currently underway across the state under the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM). MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy, MLA Mandula Samuel, District Collector Tejas Nandlal Pawar, and others participated in the programme.
