Musharraf Farooqui, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of the Telangana State Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TSSPDCL), has instructed Assistant Engineers (AEs) to work towards achieving zero complaints by conducting thorough inspections of the electricity network in bastis and colonies under their jurisdiction at least twice weekly.

He emphasized the importance of meeting consumers personally to address their concerns effectively. During a review meeting held on Friday at the Mint Compound head office, around 180 AEs from Rangareddy and Medchal Zones participated.

The CMD specifically addressed those receiving the highest number of complaints, urging them to analyze the root causes and implement measures to prevent recurrence. Farooqui stressed the need for electricity staff to maintain a friendly and approachable attitude, fostering a field-level environment where consumers feel comfortable reporting issues anytime.

Additionally, he highlighted the urgent priority of replacing hazardous overhead lines with air-bunched cables in narrow streets and slums, noting that administrative permissions have been streamlined to support this initiative.
