Defections exposed: KTR

BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao came down strongly on the Congress government at the Gadwal Garjana Sabha held on Saturday evening. Addressing a massive gathering, KTR threw an open challenge to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy: “If he has the guts, let him make the ten MLAs who defected to the Congress resign and face by-elections. The people will deliver their verdict.”

He said the defected MLAs had betrayed people’s trust for selfish gains. “They are in a pitiable condition today, not knowing which party they belong to. Their only motive was to increase personal assets. Even the Supreme Court is serious on this issue.

By-elections in their constituencies are inevitable, and people will teach them a fitting lesson,” KTR thundered.

Welcoming several Congress leaders, councillors, former sarpanches and public representatives into the BRS fold, KTR reminded the gathering of Gadwal’s development under KCR’s leadership. “It was BRS which made Gadwal a district headquarters, established a medical college, completed the Thummilla project and provided irrigation to 18.5 lakh acres in Palamuru. In contrast, Congress stalled the Gattu project for 22 months,” he said.

Targeting Gadwal MLA Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy, KTR asked: “For whose development did he join Congress? Where are the promised ₹2,500 monthly aid for women, ₹2 lakh farm loan waiver, scooters for youth, ₹20 lakh Dalit Bandhu and 42% BC reservations?” He ridiculed Krishna Mohan Reddy for betraying his earlier stand that he would never join the Congress.

Listing Congress government’s failures, KTR said: “In two years, farmers face urea shortages, power cuts, and all sections of society—from farmers to unemployed youth-are suffering. Telangana, given on a golden platter by KCR, is being ruined by Congress’ misrule.”

Calling for a decisive mandate, KTR urged people to defeat Congress in the upcoming local body elections and hoist the pink flag on Gadwal Municipality.
