The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam will organize grand Gokulashtami celebrations at Sri Venkateswara Gau Samrakshanashala on August 16. Devotees visiting the Gosamrakshanashala will have the opportunity to feed the cows with jaggery, rice, and fodder themselves as in hindu dharma, the cow is revered as “Gau Mata” — the embodiment of all deities — and feeding cows is believed to bestow immense spiritual merit.

Several programs have been lined up on that day. From 10:30 AM – 11:00 AM, Gau Puja and Harati to Sri Venugopalaswamy followed by the devotional cultural programs, darshan of Sri Venugopalaswami and prasadam distribution. After that Harikatha program under the aegis of TTD Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad, will be performed  from 6 PM to 8 PM.
