Exposes Congress party’s politics of defections
People will deliver a lesson in by-elections
KTR lashes out at Congress at Gadwal Garjana Sabha
“Conspiracies were hatched to stop KTR”: Basu Hanumanthu Naidu
Mahabubnagar,September 13,(Metro India News): Basu Hanumanthu Naidu alleged that for the past ten days several conspiracies were made to prevent KTR from attending the meeting. He said, “At a time when Congress leaders claimed that BRS would vanish if Gadwal MLA defected, if by-elections are held again, BRS will win with a margin of 50,000 to 60,000 votes.”
BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) came down heavily on the Congress government in Gadwal. Addressing a massive crowd at the public meeting titled Gadwal Garjana, he threw a direct challenge: “If Revanth Reddy has guts, let him make the ten MLAs who defected to Congress resign and face by-elections. The people’s court will give the right judgment against those who trampled public aspirations for their selfish gains.”
He said the condition of the defected MLAs was pathetic as they could not even say which party they truly belonged to. “They shifted parties only to expand their assets and for opportunism. Even the Supreme Court is serious about defections. By-elections in those ten constituencies are inevitable, and the people will deliver their verdict,” KTR warned.
“Gadwal’s Development Possible Only Under KCR’s Rule”
During the meeting, a large number of Congress leaders, councillors, former sarpanches, and other representatives joined the BRS. KTR welcomed them with party scarves. Thanking the crowd that gathered in spite of heavy rain, he recalled:
“Gadwal played a frontline role in the Telangana movement. With the blessings of Jogulamba Mata, it was made a district. We also brought a medical college to Gadwal and completed the Thummilla project, providing irrigation to 18.5 lakh acres in Palamuru region. Even after 22 months, the Congress government has failed to continue the construction works of Gattu project.”
KTR Slams Gadwal MLA Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy
KTR launched a scathing attack on Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy, asking:
“For whose development did he join Congress? Where is the Congress promise of ₹2,500 monthly support for girl children? Where is the ₹2 lakh loan waiver? Where are the scooters for girls, the ₹20 lakh Dalit Bandhu scheme, and 42% reservations for BCs? Why did he defect to Congress after deceiving every section of society?”
KTR ridiculed Krishna Mohan Reddy for claiming he was still in BRS even after joining Congress. “Congress leaders are selling urea in black, even Group-1 jobs were sold. People are being cheated after trusting Congress. Is this why he joined Congress?”
He also reminded people of Krishna Mohan Reddy’s earlier statements:
“He once said he would never join Congress and if forced, he would lay his head under a train. Then why did he not attend this meeting today? Pretending to be in BRS while surrendering to Congress is nothing but deceiving the people.”
KTR Exposes Congress Failures
KTR strongly criticized Congress governance, saying:
“In just two years of Congress rule, everyone has witnessed what happened—shortage of urea, power cuts, and failures in every sector. Even during COVID, KCR implemented farmer welfare schemes like Rythu Bandhu. But Congress ruined Telangana which was handed to them on a golden platter. From auto drivers to the unemployed, every section is suffering. The condition of Gurukuls under Congress is proof of their misgovernance. Congress has done nothing but cheat people.”
He called upon the people to teach Congress a lesson in the upcoming local elections.
The meeting was attended by MLA Vijaya, MLCs Challa Venkatram Reddy, Naveen Kumar Reddy, former ministers Niranjan Reddy, Srinivas Goud, leaders R.S. Praveen Kumar, Rajender Reddy, A.L. Venkateshwar Reddy, Anjaih Yadav, Jaipal Yadav, Padi Kaushik Reddy, Dr. Kurva Vijay Kumar, Basu Hanumanthu Naidu, Basu Shyamala and many others.
