In a series of coordinated anti-drug operations, the Eagle Teams, Government Railway Police (GRP), Railway Protection Force (RPF), and local police arrested 12 accused and seized narcotics worth over Rs 1.9 crore across Telangana.
On August 22, 2025, four interstate drug peddlers were nabbed on the Bhubaneswar–Pune Express at Secunderabad Railway Station, with 91 kg of ganja worth Rs 22.75 lakh seized. Another peddler on the same train was caught on August 27 with 5 kg of ganja worth Rs 1.25 lakh.
On August 28, Eagle Warangal Team and Law & Order Police caught three peddlers, including a woman, with 32 kg of ganja (Rs 8 lakh) on the Konark Express. Two more were arrested in Mulugu district on August 30 with 30 kg of ganja worth Rs 7.5 lakh.
A major haul occurred on September 7 in Warangal, where 214 kg of ganja valued at Rs 53.5 lakh was seized from a single peddler. On September 29, the Eagle Sangareddy Team and local police busted an illegal drug manufacturing unit, seizing 270 grams of Alprazolam and 7.89 kg of Nordiazepam, valued at Rs 16.31 lakh. Total seizures amounted to Rs 1.9 crore in value.
