Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy on Monday has clarified that Congress government would not reorganise any of the present 33 districts in state. There is not talk or discussions on this subject within the government, he said.
Replying to a query by BRS MLCs Kalvakuntla Kavitha and T Ravindar Rao in Legislative Council on Tuesday, Ponguleti clarified that the government had no proposal for reorganisation of districts in the State.
The minister said there was no proposal to reduce the number of districts in the State. All reports about abolishing a few districts were false and misleading, he added.
Reality sector not affected Meanwhile, in a chit chat with media in assembly, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said that reality sector in Telangana was not affected. After Chandrababu government came to power, some sections created campaign that industries would shift to AP. However, after the recent floods effect in Amaravati region, investors are a worried lot, he added.
Also, the minister opined that public is not frightened anymore with HYDRAA. Initially a misleading talk was spread, however people have now realized the objective and intention of the government. Responding to a query about privilege motion given against Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka by the BRS, Ponguleti felt that members have right to do so. Meanwhile, the Revenue minister said that his wish was to sit alongside K Chandrashekar Rao and speak with him whenever he comes to assembly.
