District Assistant Director of Survey and Land Records(ADSLR) Ch Srinivasulu said on Friday that Officials across several mandals in the district conducted awareness meetings on Friday to educate farmers and the public about the Telangana government's flagship Bhubharati land re-survey program, aimed at resolving long-pending land-related issues and ensuring accurate land records. He said the government had launched the land re-survey initiative to address longstanding land disputes and discrepancies.

As part of the program, awareness sessions and gram sabhas are being organized across the district to explain the objectives and benefits of the exercise to landowners and local residents. Officials, along with public representatives, participated in awareness programs held in various mandals. Assistant Director Srinivasulu said that the government had issued a Gazette notification for conducting the re-survey in 70 villages across the district, and the ongoing gram sabhas are intended to familiarize farmers with the process before the survey begins.

He explained that the re-survey would assign a unique survey number and prepare a land parcel map for every landholding, with all land details being digitized and uploaded online. Any errors or inaccuracies in earlier surveys could be rectified during the re-survey process, he said, adding that the government's objective is to eliminate land disputes and issue BhuDhar (land ownership) records based on accurate survey data.

The officials emphasized that the Bhubharati re-survey program is designed to strengthen land rights, improve the accuracy of land records, and provide greater legal certainty to landowners. They also stressed that public cooperation would be essential for the successful implementation of the program.
