In a proactive effort to enhance emergency preparedness, ASPIRE at the University of Hyderabad (UoH) successfully organized a fire safety awareness session and mock drill on the campus on Thursday.

The event brought together incubated start-ups, university students, and staff, demonstrating ASPIRE's commitment to fostering a secure and resilient innovation ecosystem. The program featured an in-depth presentation on fire hazards, safety equipment, mitigation strategies, and evacuation procedures. Participants also received hands-on training on the proper use of fire extinguishers and emergency tools through a live demonstration.

The active participation of start-up teams underscored a collective culture of responsibility and safety awareness. ‘Safety is a shared responsibility,’ said a representative from ASPIRE. ‘The enthusiastic participation of our start-up teams highlights their commitment not just to technological innovation, but also to building a workplace environment rooted in safety and accountability.’

This initiative emphasizes the importance of proactive safety training within innovation hubs. ASPIRE remains committed to integrating regular safety drills, awareness programs, and emergency response training into its incubation framework.
