Citizens unite for cleaner Hyderabad on World Cleanup Day

Marking World Cleanup Day, Decathlon Hyderabad, in collaboration with the Institute of Town Planners of India (ITPI) – Telangana State Regional Chapter and the Prosperity Planet Foundation, spearheaded a clean-up drive at People’s Plaza in Necklace Road.

The initiative, hosted by Manish, Social Engagement & Community Leader, Decathlon, brought together volunteers and community members who successfully collected 60 kg of plastic waste, reinforcing the message of collective responsibility towards cleaner and healthier urban spaces.

‘Sustainable urban living begins with citizen engagement. We are proud to collaborate for this cause,’ said S Devender Reddy, Chairperson, ITPI Telangana State Regional Chapter. ‘It is inspiring to see citizens unite for a cleaner city. Every action counts,’ said Manish, Decathlon Hyderabad.

‘Community efforts create lasting impact and awareness,’ added Navya, Director, Prosperity Planet Foundation. World Cleanup Day is a global movement that mobilizes millions of people across the world to combat waste and pollution, paving the way for more sustainable and livable cities.
