Saidabad Police on Thursday arrested Nenavath Manga for the brutal murder of 70-year-old Katroth Shivaiah, her relative, and theft of his silver ornaments. The murder occurred on the night of September 14 and 15 at Vishnu Nagar in Saidabad. The deceased’s elder daughter lodged a complaint on September 15, reporting her father was found strangled in their under-construction house, along with missing silver ornaments.

Investigation revealed that the accused, a niece-in-law of the deceased’s wife, held a grudge due to repeated disputes over a failed house construction project, financial losses, and personal humiliation. She had also developed an illicit relationship with Venkatesh, the contractor, adding to personal and financial stress. Enraged after a public argument on September 14, she murdered the victim the same night.
