Hyderabad Cybercrime Police arrested Kandukuru Sulthan Ahmad Khan (28), from Kadiri in Andhra Pradesh, for his involvement in an online investment fraud.

The case was registered based on a complaint by a resident of Kalyan Nagar, who was lured via a WhatsApp group named ‘Navuma 915 Insights Stocks’ to invest Rs 24.71 lakh in a fake trading app. Though the app showed a return of Rs 40.60 lakh, the victim was denied withdrawal and was further pressured to pay Rs 23 lakh.

Investigation revealed that transactions were routed through a Karur Vysya Bank account under ‘SULTAN IMPORTS & EXPORTS.’ The accused supplied mule accounts via a Telegram group ‘Pandapay Official Channel’ and received commissions for facilitating fraudulent transfers. He also received $2,100 in USDT, later converted and deposited in his DBS account.

He opened multiple bank accounts for syndicates and is linked to frauds totaling Rs 3 crore in just three days. So far, 15 cyber fraud cases have been registered against him across India, including Telangana, Maharashtra, Delhi, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu.
