The Commissioner’s Task Force, West Zone Team, in collaboration with Film Nagar Police, arrested six individuals involved in the illegal trade of fake educational certificates. The accused were supplying forged documents to job seekers and dropouts for financial gain. Authorities seized the counterfeit certificates, and a case has been registered.

Acting on a tip-off, the team arrested Mohd Habeeb (32), the owner of 'Fly Abroad' consultancy services and resident of Bazar Guard, along with his accomplices: Raziullah Khan (35), Syed Khaleeludin (36), Saqlain Ahmed (25), Syed Moinuddin (31), and Mohammed Wajahath Ali. Two others, Rahul Tiwari and Sushil Kumar from Uttar Pradesh, are on the run.

Habeeb’s consultancy targeted students and job seekers, charging between Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.5 lakh for providing fake certificates. The network of agents was highly organized, with each responsible for specific regions, allowing the scam to spread across multiple states. As demand for fake certificates increased, Habeeb expanded his operations, exploiting the desperation of individuals seeking academic or job opportunities. Habeeb has a history of involvement in similar fraudulent activities and had been arrested several times for offenses related to fake certificates.

In 2022, Habeeb was arrested by the Chaderghat Police for his role in a similar scam, and Sunil Kapoor was arrested in 2023. After Kapoor’s arrest, Rahul Tiwari re-established contact with Habeeb and resumed the operation of supplying fake certificates. These counterfeit documents, including degrees from universities like Andhra University, Telangana University, and Anna University, were sent by post to Hyderabad from various states.
