Kasturba Balika School in Marriguda mandal has received a major infrastructure upgrade worth Rs 1.5 crore, bringing modern facilities to hundreds of students. Munugode MLA Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy, who believes education can transform lives, initiated the project to ensure quality learning environments in government schools.

During his visits, the MLA observed that classrooms, hostel rooms, and sanitation facilities were inadequate, making daily life difficult for students. Acting promptly, he directed his team of engineers to begin construction immediately under the guidance of the Komatireddy Susheelamma Foundation.

The renovation includes nine additional classrooms, 36 new bathrooms, modernization of existing toilets, a guard wall, a two-acre playground, a 1.5 lakh litre septic tank, new borewell and water tanks, geysers, wash areas, incinerator, inverter, 326 new beds, UPVC mesh windows to prevent mosquitoes, upgraded kitchen water supply, new drainage pipelines, floodlights, and a security room.

The upgraded facilities will be officially inaugurated today. With these improvements, Munugode’s government schools are set to provide a safe, modern, and conducive learning environment. This initiative reflects the MLA’s ongoing commitment to enhancing government education and bringing corporate-level infrastructure to underprivileged students in his constituency.
