The political battlefield in Vijayawada turned red hot on Thursday as sitting MP Kesineni Sivanath (Chinni), launched an explosive attack on his brother and former MP Kesineni Srinivas (Nani), accusing him of betraying the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and colluding with the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) in what he alleged is a multi-thousand crore liquor scam.

Addressing a press conference, Chinni labeled Nani as a “political backstabber” who climbed to power with the support of the TDP but “sold out to Jagan Mohan Reddy’s YSRCP for personal gain and turned like a Paaleru. This is the same man who once joined Chiranjeevi’s Praja Rajyam Party only to later turn against him,” he added.

But it wasn’t just personal betrayal that Chinni accused his brother of. In a move that has set off shockwaves, Chinni dropped a political bombshell: a Rs.3,600 crore liquor scam allegedly masterminded from inside the Tadepalli Palace—the seat of Jagan Mohan Reddy’s administration.

“There is one key conspirator behind this scam—he operates directly from the palace,” Chinni declared, demanding an immediate Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry and challenging the Chief Minister to submit to the same. “I am ready to face a CBI probe. Is Jagan Ready?”

According to Chinni, only four individuals, including businessman Raj Kasireddy, had privileged access to Tadepalli Palace and were central to the scam’s operations. He confirmed having business ties with Kasireddy in the past but said he severed those connections once he learned of Kasireddy’s close proximity to Jagan.

“I partnered with Raj for a development project and invested money from my own pocket,” Chinni explained. “But once I realized his deep ties to the Chief Minister, I walked away—even at financial loss. That’s the kind of representative I am.”

He accused his brother Nani of raising baseless and vulgar allegations to distract the public from the real issue—the liquor scam. “Nani is playing dirty politics to divert attention from the Rs.3,600 crore loot under Jagan’s regime,” he said.

Chinni also brought to light allegations that funds from the scam were routed through two companies—Kesineni International and others—operating out of Dubai and the United States. He dared investigating agencies to probe not only his businesses but also those of Kesineni Nani. a veiled reference to his brother, claiming that dozens of shell companies may be involved in laundering the liquor scam proceeds.

“My family owns five or six companies—all of them legal. Let the authorities check all of them. But will they also probe the suspicious companies linked to Kesineni Nani?” Chinni questioned.

Chinni didn’t stop there. He accused the YSRCP regime of allowing the liquor and sand mafias to thrive unchecked. “Nani, who now stands hand-in-hand with Jagan, has not uttered a single word against the liquor or sand mafias in the last five years. Why?”

“The people of Andhra Pradesh haven’t forgotten Jagan Reddy’s dark past—be it the Kodi Kathi drama, the Babai murder case, or his financial scandals. And let’s not forget, Jagan’s brother-in-law Gali Janardhan Reddy was sentenced to seven years in jail.” “I’ve submitted a complaint to the CBI. I’m giving Jagan Reddy 24 hours to respond. Is he ready for an investigation or not?”

With the political temperatures soaring in Andhra Pradesh, Chinni’s allegations—especially against his own brother—have stunned political circles and are likely to ignite further controversy in the coming days. The war within the Kesineni family has spilled into public view, dragging the state’s ruling party into the center of what could become one of Andhra Pradesh’s biggest political storms in recent years.
