The Swadeshi Jagaran Manch (SJM) will hold its Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting in Hyderabad on September 20-21, 2025. This annual gathering, rotating across regions, is being held in Telangana to reinforce the Swadeshi movement in South India.
The meeting comes at a time when Bharat faces significant economic challenges both domestically and globally. Despite global uncertainties, Bharat has simplified GST into two slabs, maintained low inflation and interest rates, and achieved 6–8% growth with a 10% rise in consumer demand in the August quarter.
Internationally, conflicts like the Russia-Ukraine war, Israel-Gaza crisis, and trade pressures from China and the USA have impacted global trade. The U.S. has imposed up to 50% tariffs on Indian goods, hurting exports worth nearly $40 billion out of $86 billion.
In response, the Indian government is exploring exports to 40 alternative markets while promoting local consumption. SJM praised the government’s support for the Swadeshi and Swavalamban (self-reliance) movements.
At the Hyderabad meeting, SJM’s CWC will review key national and international developments and launch the Swadeshi-Swavalamban Abhiyan (SBA), uniting economic, social, and spiritual efforts toward national resilience.
